Letters between Grafschaft Bentheim
and America
Volume 1
1847-1914
The Society has published the first volume of a
collection of letters between Bentheim and America. This volume
contains letters from 1847 to 1914. Eighty five letters were
selected from the over 200 that were available. Many of the letters
had not been translated into English prior to this. A special
thanks to Jim and Virginia Jurries for their generous financial
support! Also, to Harold Huizenga for editing, Loren Lemmen for many
hours spent organizing and selecting letters and to Swenna Harger
once again for her labor of translating many of these letters.
